My Story is not Your Gossip….It’s My Testimony

What may be “tea” for someone else….became my testimony.

What may be “tea” for someone else….became my testimony

I’m not embarrassed about anything I went through. What may be ‘tea’ for you is a testimony for me.
“If you’re going to talk about what broke me, invite me to the table so I can tell you what God did with the pieces.”

For a long time, I believed I had to protect the parts of my story that hurt the most. I thought healing meant hiding. I thought strength meant pretending. I thought if no one saw the cracks, they would only notice the polished version of me. But God doesn’t work through perfection. He works through surrendered hearts.

Today, I stand unashamed.

Not because life has been easy. Not because I’ve escaped heartbreak, disappointment, betrayal, illness, loss, or moments that left me questioning everything. I stand because I know Who carried me through every one of those seasons. The chapters that some people whisper about are the very chapters where God spoke the loudest.

People often love to discuss someone’s breaking point. They analyze it. They question it. Most often they even judge it. But very few stay long enough to know the real truth or witness the rebuilding. That’s where the miracle lives.

If you’re going to tell my story, don’t stop at the chapter where I fell. Tell them about the God who reached into the rubble. Tell them about the nights when tears became prayers. Tell them about the mornings when hope returned one quiet breath at a time. Tell them how he took everything that looked shattered beyond repair and

began creating something stronger than before. Because brokenness was never my identity. It was simply the place where transformation began. I’ve learned something beautiful.

The enemy wants your pain to become your prison. God wants your pain to become your platform. One keeps you silent. The other gives someone else permission to believe healing is possible.

So no...
I don’t carry shame for my story. I carry gratitude. Every scar reminds me that I survived. Every setback reminds me that I was sustained. Every closed door redirected me toward something I couldn’t yet see. Every storm revealed a strength that comfort never could. I’ve stopped worrying about people misunderstanding my journey.

Not everyone is meant to understand what they didn’t survive. Some people will only see the ashes. Others will recognize that ashes are exactly where God begins making beauty. To the person who has quietly judged someone else’s story...

Pause for a moment.

Everyone you meet is carrying a battle that required courage just to walk through the door. Choose compassion before curiosity. Choose understanding before assumptions. You never know if the person standing in front of you had to fight just to smile today.

And to the one who wonders if their past disqualifies them... Hear me clearly.

Your mistakes do not have the final word. Your diagnosis does not have the final word. Your divorce does not have the final word. Your addiction does not have the final word. Your betrayal does not have the final word. Your grief does not have the final word. Your failure does not have the final word.

God does.

He has always had the final word. He is still writing chapters long after the world thought the story was over.
So if you’re going to talk about what broke me...Invite me to the table. Not because I need to defend myself. But because I want you to witness what redemption looks like. I want you to see that grace is stronger than shame.
That mercy speaks louder than gossip. That hope outlives heartbreak. That faith outlasts fear. And that what the world calls “broken” often becomes God’s greatest masterpiece.
I am not embarrassed by my story.
I am honored by what it taught me.
Because every broken piece became proof that God’s hands never stopped working. And if my testimony helps one person believe they

can rise again.....

Then every scar was worth carrying. Not because they define me. But because they point to the One who does.

So let them talk if they choose. I’ll keep telling the whole story. Not the story of how I was broken... But the story of how God made me whole.

“The fire was never sent to destroy me. It revealed the gold God had placed within me all along.” —Fab

Until next time....Keep Rising,
